Sandy is one of our Ministry Services team leaders, and has been instrumental in developing S&O’s specialized expertise in serving pastors and their churches/ministries.  Sandy’s experience in leadership roles in her own church has enhanced her professional expertise and ability to provide valuable advice on business, tax and management issues.  Sandy developed our very popular “tax health check” service.

Sandy graduated from the University of Tulsa with a BS in Business Administration in Accounting and joined Stanfield & O’Dell in 1976, where she is currently a shareholder.  She has over 30 years of experience in public accounting as well as experience in leading and supervising consulting engagements in banks, manufacturing entities, service and non-profit organizations.  She also has extensive experience in corporate consolidated returns, fiduciary, estate, partnership, non-profit and individual returns, representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and tax planning in reorganizations.

Sandy is a licensed CPA in the State of Oklahoma and other states.  She has served as President of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Tulsa Chapter of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Sandy is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tulsa Tax Club and Tulsa Tax Estate Planning Forum.  She has served as President of her church, is a Rotarian, and serves on the board of directors of two civic organizations.

Sandy has been married for over 30 years and has two adult daughters.
